About Me:

Hello and welcome to my permanent garden! Please click on “photos”!
It is a garden that does not have to be weeded, watered or fertilised. It is a garden that can be picked up and moved to any place, It is a garden that can exist outside as well as inside - I am an artist!
Over the past 2 years..(it is now that very anniversary). I have been out of action as a gardener, due to an injury sustained at work in a garden. So…I now paint full time, as I cannot do much else (irony at its best…we must be careful what we wish for!!).
Primarily I paint on recycled materials, metal and timber. I paint on furniture, doors and walls - I paint to brighten the world up and create a colourful space. I have a choice of metal paintings, suitable for any environment and weather conditions or….treated MDF which is suitable for outdoors, but undercover out of wet weather.
This all began 6 years ago, when I began to paint flower pots. Then I painted an entire shed with a garden scene (lifted the whole yard!), from there I went to doors, then furniture - anything that was looking a bit tired and shabby. However it saddened me that I had to leave my walls, sheds and doors behind - so…..I came up with “portable murals” At first they were done on metal (much preparation!) and could be hung outside on fences, walls, pergolas….anywhere! Then I considered other recyclable materials and began painting on timber - for the inside!
As I had been a professional gardener for 24 years previously - painting flowers came more as “the next step” rather than something new - I am still gardening! I am still planting seeds and helping them grow - only these ones do not die!
Over the past 2 years I have been in eleven exhibitions locally and my work has been sold into Queensland, Sydney, New Zealand,  regional New South Wales and America.  My work has been featured in “The Australian ABC Gardening Magazine” as a major prize .
I have two annual shows a year in my studio and garden gallery (Spring and Autumn) This allows me to present my paintings in many ways - I love doing these shows as it is always fun to prepare and my garden always looks brilliant!
Sooo…please come through the garden gate here. Have a look, you might be surprised.
I am now featured as a spotlight artist at another site…go on, have a look!!!
